Fiber Composites; Lightweight, Sturdy, Durable, and Cheap to Grow

Lightweight equals efficient fuel usage, even electrical
Sturdy enough to withstand torque changes and g-forces on the road
Durable, as in, one can take a sledge hammer to it without causing any serious harm to the vehicle

And a completely replaceable fiber resource every year without so much harm to the environment.
Or maybe everyone isn't done with destroying the Earth, yet?
